Technical Excellence

The core of Quality Medical is technical excellence and customer service with an emphasis on investing in the right people, equipment and training for the conduct of safety inspections in various medical facilities such as Nursing Homes, LTAC facilities, Infusion Centers, and many others. Under the broad category of Safety Inspections we offer two distinct types of services; Electrical Safety Inspection and Equipment Performance Verification. The first is focused on electrical safety where we check every piece of electrical equipment in the facility to ensure that it is properly grounded and does not inadvertently cause an electrical shock to anyone who touches it. The second is a detail check of the functional performance of critical biomedical equipment where we verify that it is functioning within the specifications determined by the manufacturer of the equipment.

Electrical Safety Inspection

Quality Medical’s engineers and technicians use automated equipment to measure critical electrical parameters that are automatically transferred to the cloud. Quality Medical has invested in fully automated test equipment that provides the industry’s highest quality and reliability with all the measurements taken. Every piece of electrical equipment is accounted for as a separate asset and individual sets of electrical parameters are captured. All data is captured digitally for each asset and downloaded for processing. An additional service we perform is to asset tag all equipment measured in the facility. The data that is captured in this way is compiled by our technicians and a report created that completely fulfills all state regulatory requirements. As an added service Quality Medical provides a locker in the cloud where such records are securely stored and our customers can access these records in the form of a searchable database. This makes record keeping, searches for specific data and being in compliant to state regulations, a breeze for our customers. As an additional service we also maintain records of when future service inspections are due and send our customers timely reminders so we can schedule these inspections well ahead of time so that our customers are always in compliance with state laws.

Performance Verification Testing

Quality Medical’s Engineers also perform a very detailed analysis of all critical biomedical equipment in the facility. This inspection and performance verification is to ensure that critical performance parameters are within the specifications defined by the manufacturers of the equipment. Very detail calibrations such as measuring the volume of fluid dispensed by infusion pumps at various settings and ensuring volumes of air being pumped by ventilators at various settings are correct are carried out. The key objective of all this detail calibration, measurement and record keeping is to ensure optimum patient care is being dispensed through these equipment. Wherever problems are detected such as failures in calibration tests, preventive maintenance not completed on time or defective equipment, Quality Medical’s engineers and technicians perform onsite repair and re-certification immediately to ensure that the medical facility is able to continue to operate at optimum levels without the need for multiple numbers of backup equipment. There are very stringent state legal requirements  to ensure that such testing is conducted every year and audits are conducted frequently. Quality Medical engineers and technicians capture very detail results of all these testing, calibrations and certifications for each piece of equipment and create a detail report that fully meets the most stringent state safety inspections.
